Nice Jazz Festival cancelled

The 2016 international Nice Jazz Festival, scheduled to start July 16th, has been cancelled due to the horrific events in the city on Bastille Day.

The 2016 international Nice Jazz Festival, established in 1948, has been cancelled due to the horrific events in the city on Bastille Day. 84 people died as a truck was driven into a large crowd of people.

The annual festival was due to start tonight 16th July running through to 20th. Among those due to appear were Melody Gardot, Youssou N'Dour, George Clinton, Laura Mvula, Cory Henry and The Funk Apostles, Massive Attack, Robert Plant, Abdullah Ibrahim and more. George Clinton extended his, ”sincere condolences and prayers to the families of the victims"

Festival organisers have said all tickets would be refunded.
