The lineup has been revealed for the 2020 Jazz Fest in New Orleans - one of the biggest and most well-renowned jazz events in the world.
As well as headliners like The Who, Nile Rodgers, Lenny Kravitz, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones and The Isley Brothers, the organisers also places a focus on homegrown jazz and soul talent with New Orleans artists gracing some of the 20-plus stages like Trombone Shorty, The Soul Rebels, Irma Thomas, Aaron Neville and Kermit Ruffins.
This year’s official promotional poster for Jazz Fest features an image of the multi Grammy-Award winning Dr. John standing with his piano at the pearly gates, plus they’ve updated the event tag line to ‘Right Place, Right Time’ as a tribute to the late great bluesman.
Spread across several weekends, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival runs from 23 April until 3 May 2020.
