Following their sold out performance at London’s Union Chapel, Matthew Halsall and the enchanting Gondwana Orchestra return to the Capital to play St John’s at Hackney Church on the 26th May 2016.

Mancunian trumpeter, composer and band-leader Matthew Halsall has established himself as one of the most prominent names in the contemporary European Jazz scene. His Gondwana Orchestra comprises Luke Flowers of Cinematic Orchestra on drums, Jordan Smart on saxophones, pianist Taz Modi and bassist Gavin Barras with the signature harp of Rachael Gladwin. It’s a sound reminiscent of the spiritual jazz of Alice and John Coltrane.

The group will focus on material from their critically acclaimed new release ‘Into Forever’ as well as their iTunes Jazz Album of the Year 2014, ‘When the World Was One’. Limited Early Bird tickets will be on sale Thursday 11th December.
