New jazz series for Lichfield
Award-winning vocalist Christine Tobin opens for The Lichfield Garrick Theatre's new monthly jazz series starting January 2016.
The Lichfield Garrick Theatre has announced a new monthly series of jazz shows starting in January 2016.
Irish born vocalist and composer, Christine Tobin will open the monthly series on Wednesday 13th January 2016 with an evening of new arrangements on Leonard Cohen songs from her recent studio album ‘A Thousand Kisses Deep' and joined by guitarist Phil Robson and Dave Whitford on double bass.
The Lichfield Garrick has a rich history of presenting jazz with its popular Friday after-work jazz sessions. The new series, performed in the Theatre’s intimate studio space will showcase some of the best British jazz musicians, including the dynamic young group Partikel in February and the groove-heavy Phil Robson Organ Trio in March.
