To coincide with his 89th birthday anniversary a new official Miles Davis website optimised for mobile devices and social media sharing is launched, with new content.
A new Miles Davis website, optimised for mobile devices, has been launched to coincide with his 89th anniversary birthday.
The all new milesdavis.com has special sections featuring DVDs, books and a new section with selected images from the forthcoming film ‘Miles Ahead’ starring Don Cheadle and Ewan McGregor due for release this year. The new site makes it easier to share on social media and as well as the content that already exists there are more than 125 official Miles Davis photo images from the archives of Sony Music with original album art.
A new 4 CD box set ‘Miles Davis At Newport 1955-1975: The Bootleg Series Vol. 4’ will be released on July 17th, 60 years to the date of Davis' breakthrough performance at Newport Jazz Festival in 1955. This set tracks Miles' ascendance over eight live festival performances spanning 20 years in Newport, New York, Berlin and Switzerland and contains 4 hours of previously unreleased live material.
