The new documentary film on the life and work of Grammy Award winning bass player Marcus Miller called ‘Marcus’ is now released through iTunes to buy or rent.

French film maker Patrick Savey captures Marcus from his roots in Queens, New York City, through an astounding and prolific solo career as well as working with Lonnie Liston-Smith, hit making with Luther Vandross and a perfect musical partnership with Miles Davis.

Contributions from bass playing icon Larry Graham, saxophonist David Sanborn and pianist Herbie Hancock and more give a great perspective on a musician that has been very much in the fabric of soul and jazz for several decades. We see his virtuosity on both bass guitar and bass clarinet. The film also includes live footage from concerts and in depth auto-biographical commentary from Marcus himself.
