Neville Brothers to give a farewell concert
The legendary New Orleans r&b group group the Neville Brothers are to perform a farewell concert called ‘Nevilles Forever: A Celebration of the Neville Brothers and Their Music’.
The legendary New Orleans r&b group group the Neville Brothers are to perform a farewell concert in their home town on May 2nd. The concert will be called ‘Nevilles Forever: A Celebration of the Neville Brothers and Their Music’ and will feature Aaron, Art, Charles and Cyril Neville joined by New Orleans favourites Trombone Shorty, Galactic, Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas, Terence Blanchard and more.
The Neville Brothers began in 1977 and have become a huge part of the musical history of New Orleans. Aaton Neville has enjoyed his own hugely successful solo career since his first solo hit ‘Tell It Like It Is’ in 1985. Art Neville is also a founder member of the funk group The Meters.
This concert will be held at The Saenger Theater, a historic New Orleans landmark, that once played host to one of the definitive live soul music concerts by Frankie Beverly and Maze called ‘Live In New Orleans’.
