British pianist Neil Cowley is taking on a new role outside the Neil Cowley Trio to host a new jazz TV series.

Filmed at Metropolis Studios in West London ‘Jazz@Metropolis’ is a brand new jazz focused television series from the producers of the successful ‘Live from Abbey Road’ series on Channel 4.  The show will set out to to highlight the influence of jazz within popular music and culture in a stylish magazine format including live music element and will air exclusive content from the jazz vaults.

Cowley will host and chat to an invited studio audience, artists, and high profile jazz fans sourced from unexpected walks of life.

Filming starts early in November with the first guest British-Asian clarinetist and composer Arun Ghosh and Danish pianist Carsten Dahl. The programme promises singer Kurt Elling, cutting edge keyboard player Kris Bowers, British band Get the Blessing and many more. If you’d like to attend the live shows  apply here.
