Eleven must-have jazz albums of 2015

The Telegraph has published its list of the best 11 jazz albums of 2015 so far. These include the new album from British vocalist Emily Saunders ‘Outsiders Insiders’, a Jazz FM favourite, Love Supreme Festival 2015 star Rebecca Ferguson’s tribute to Billie Holiday ‘Lady Sings The Blues’ and Troyka’s ‘Ornithophobia’ which was announced yesterday on a shortlist for the audience voted ’Jazz Album Of The Year’ in the forthcoming Jazz FM awards.

The late Kenny Wheeler’s final work ‘Songs For Quintet’ is also listed with the highly improvisational ‘Made In Chicago’ from veteran drummer Jack DeJohnette. Bob Dylan’s tribute to Sinatra ‘Shadows In The Night’ is also a favourite.
