More controversy surrounds the estate of blues legend B.B. King

More controversy surrounds the estate of the late B.B. King following claims by his daughters that their father had been poisoned. Lawyers for his estate have rubbished and ridiculed the allegations and police have confirmed they are not investigating. King was assessed by three doctors to have had appropriate hospice care before he died and was monitored round the clock by professional medical staff up to the point he died in his sleep.

In identical statements both Patti King and Karen Williams said, “I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances. I believe my father was murdered.” Autopsy results may take up to eight weeks.

A week before he died B.B. King’s Daughters Karen Williams and Patty King claimed family members were stopped from visiting while his business manager and executor of his will, LaVerne Toney, hastened their father’s death. Toney was challenged in a failed bid for power of attorney by the same daughters. They also claim she put her own family members in the employ King and that millions of dollars have disappeared from his bank accounts. 

More than 1000 fans and mourners paid tribute at a recent viewing and a family memorial was attended by over 350 friends and family members.
