Montréal Jazz Festival announces first concert dates
GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Gregory Porter and Melody Gardot open proceedings on the first night.
The 37th Montréal Jazz Festival has announced its first series of concerts for this year. Montréal is officially the world’s biggest jazz festival and runs from June 29th to July 9th 2016.
GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Gregory Porter and Melody Gardot open proceedings on the first day, with follow-on concerts from the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea Trio, Avishai Cohen, Stacey Kent, Tord Gustavsen and Fred Hersch.
Twelve year old Indonesian piano sensation Joey Alexander makes his Montréal debut and there are dates for R&B stars Lauryn Hill and Bilal, as well as pop acts including Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds on the closing night.
