Manchester is sounding great

Manchester's Matthew Halsall is to release a new album featuring his spiritual jazz Gondwana Orchestra in September 2015 with extensive UK tour.

Manchester trumpeter Matthew Halsall has been hard at work in the studio and is currently putting the finishing touches to his forthcoming album ‘Into Forever’ featuring The Gondwana Orchestra and special guest Josephine Oniyama. It’s due for release in September and the Gondwana Orchestra will tour the UK this October, including a special show in Manchester's St Peter's Church on October 23rd. They’ll also be appearing at the Joy of Jazz Festival in Johannesburg in September and Uberjazz Festival, Hamburg in October.

Meanwhile Gondwana Records label-mates GoGo Penguin play their biggest show to date, this Friday 12th June, at Koko in Camden, North London with support from Manchester's Werkha.
