US soul and hip-hop superstar Lauryn Hill was announced this morning as the Sunday headliner for Love Supreme Festival 2019, presented in partnership with Jazz FM. One of the biggest artists of the 90s, Hill rose to prominence as lead singer of The Fugees before going on to become a multi-Grammy-winning solo artist with the release of her 20 million-selling album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’, which recently turned 20 years old.

She says her UK summer tour will include a career-spanning greatest hits set featuring tracks from ‘Miseducation’ alongside classic Fugees songs and new material. Love Supreme Director, Ciro Romano says: “Lauryn Hill is someone who’s always featured at the top of our wish list – she’s an uncompromising innovator who has had such an enormous impact on the development of contemporary music.”

Hill joins the already-confirmed Gladys Knight, Chick Corea, Jamie Cullum, Snarky Puppy, Kamaal Williams and Madeleine Peyroux for the event at Glynde Place, East Sussex running 5-7 July. Tickets are through www.lovesupremefestival.com
