British soul star Omar has been announced as a new addition to this year’s Love Supreme Jazz Festival, taking place at Glynde in Sussex from July 3rd to 5th.

Awarded an MBE for services to music in 2012, Omar makes a welcome return to Love Supreme after wowing audiences last year with classic songs from his 7 albums and 25 year career. He burst onto the British soul scene in 1990 with the release of his anthemic hit ‘There’s Nothing Like This,’ which has subsequently been covered several times from pop star Matt Goss (Bros), to Beverley Knight and latin jazz percussionist Snowboy.

Omar joins the festival whilst the band Vintage Trouble have announced that regrettably have to pull out. This year's headline acts include Chaka Khan, Van Morrison, Dianne Reeves and Hugh Masekela plus an array of todays hottest jazz performers including Bill Laurance Project, Terence Blanchard and E Collective, Kneebody, Dylan Howe’s Subterraneans and Chris Sharkey’s Shiver.
