As we excitedly count down the days to this year’s Love Supreme Festival at Glynde, the UK’s largest summer jazz fest, here is a complete overview of performances and activities. This year has seen a marked increase in interest and ticket sales. The recent addition of British soul star Omar to replace Vintage Trouble has given Love Supreme a boost.

As well as the three established main stages there’s plenty happening in and around the festival grounds including the Bandstand Stage showcasing local artists and inclusive fun activities such as Salsa dance lessons, extremely popular in the first two years of the festival.

This year there will also be a Jazz Lounge, hosted by the Blue Note, Concord, Impulse! and Verve record labels with album playbacks, Q&A sessions, and screenings. These include Robert Glasper’s ‘Covered: Live at Capitol Studios’ album session from late 2014 and the recording of Snarky Puppy and Metropole Orkest’s multiple chart number 1 album ‘Sylva’.

Market traders will be set up around the site providing plenty of international cuisine, clothes and other festival essentials plus a number of bars. Love Supreme Festival welcomes families whether staying on-site in the camping or glamping facilities or just choosing a day pass. As ever there are extensive on-site paid car parking facilities for visitors

The weekend will get under way with a clutch of unmissable early performances on Friday evening including the superb Cambridge funk-fusion outfit Resolution 88 and the now traditional Friday super-party ‘Funky Sensation’ in the Arena marquis with Jazz FM DJs Jeff Young, Chris Philips, Nigel Wiliams and John Osborne.
