Love Supreme at the Roundhouse returns
Laura Mvula will headline a one-day mini festival in the capital on April 13th
Following the success of the inaugural ‘Love Supreme At The Roundhouse’ in 2018, it’s been confirmed that the one-day mini festival will return to London on Saturday April 13th 2019.
This year’s instalment will feature main stage performances from Mercury Prize-nominated and Jazz FM Award-winning singer Laura Mvula, pioneering South London fusion keyboardist Kamaal Williams, incendiary jazz-punk six-piece Melt Yourself Down and mesmerising young vocalist Judi Jackson. Â
The festival will once again host stages curated by members of the Jazz FM team, as Chris Philips and Jez Nelson present a Jazz In The Round stage hosting former Led Bib bassist Liran Donin's 1000 Boats, Alina Bzhezhinska Hip Harp Collective, UK vocalist Randolph Matthews and hotly tipped sextet Hexagonal. For an aftershow party, Tim Garcia will perform a Musica Macondo DJ set.
The Supreme Standards stage will this year feature French producer and DJ Neue Grafik, soulful Manchester born rapper Layfullstop, French-Caribbean "future soul" trio Dowdelin, and South East London duo Bad Honey.Â
Running from 3pm until late, the event will once again utilise all areas of The Roundhouse complex with talks, Q&As, film and documentary screenings and more running alongside the live music.
