The annual opening gala of the EFG London Jazz Festival is to be streamed on Facebook and Youtube for the first time. Organisers Serious have called it a ground-breaking partnership with The Space (an organisation working to help reach new audiences through digital technologies), using funding from Arts Council England.

The concert itself will feature Guy Barker leading his 42-piece jazz orchestra, with guest vocalists Seal, Liane Carroll, Mica Paris, Miles Mosley, Tony Momrelle, Mads Mathias, Angelique Kidjo and Vanessa Haynes on stage at The Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank this Friday night (10 November).

Jazz Voice will be streamed on the two global social platforms, starting at 8.30pm. There will also be a short 5-7 minute interval during the stream, which will feature additional behind-the-scenes content on the music and the artists that Serious works with year-round.

2017 marks 10 years of the Jazz Voice show, and 25 years of the London Jazz Festival. You can see some of the other highlights and presenter picks HERE.
