Jazz FM's Chris Philips hosts an afternoon for children to experience first hand the joy of holding and playing percussion instruments. Jazz FM's Junior Latin Jam takes place from midday to 2:30 on the on the afternoon of Saturday 27th September as part of the second London Latin Jazz Festival at the Pheasantry in Chelsea, part of the Pizza Express live music chain. A professional percussionist will be teaching the basics of latin rhythms whilst pizza is served and there'll be a demonstration of salsa dancing too. There's no need to bring instruments (although you can if you would like!) as it's all laid on as part of the afternoon and everyone gets a chance to join in the beat making. This is set to be a fun afternoon of pizza and percussion, rhythm and expression.
