José James has unveiled new music on his Facebook page over the weekend. The jazz and soul singer says the new album will be out on February 24th with the title 'Love in a time of Madness', his unashamed reference to the political situation in the USA. He says "There’s a war going on in America and in the world. A war against the poor, against people of color; against women, immigrants, and innocent children. Voices are being silenced, families broken apart. Dreams are being shattered, and blood is being spilled in the streets. Police brutality is on the rise and human rights and dignity for black people in this country is all but non-existent... What is the value of human life? And of what value is love?”

It's his fourth album on the world famous Blue Note record label, he promises an extension of the hip-hop and R&B sound which has run through much of his music in recent years. The first single, 'Always There' is included as a free download when fans pre-order the whole LP.

James has confirmed a world tour including three nights in the U.K:

Birmingham - Glee Club - 2nd May 2017

Manchester - Band On The Wall - 3rd May 2017

London - Islington Assembly - 4th May 2017

He's also confirmed he has an on-screen performance in the forthcoming movie 'Fifty Shades Darker'!
