Official figures from Digital Radio UK show the majority of new Ford and Vauxhall van models now come with digital radio as standard.
Official figures revealed at the Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham show that the majority of new van models from both Ford and Vauxhall now come with digital radio as standard. This means more fully loaded commercial vehicles in the London region can listen to Jazz FM.
Both manufacturers together account for around 37% of UK van sales. The majority of the Ford Transit range and over 90% of Vauxhall vans now have digital radio as standard.
This represents a major shift over the last 12 months with commercial vehicles beginning to catch up with the car market, where 61% of cars now come with digital radio.
Ed Vaizey, Minister of State for Culture and the Digital Economy, says: “This demonstrates the welcome commitment of the industry to drivers of all vehicles, with the full range of radio available today.”
