Jazz vocalist and broadcaster James Tormé has announced a series of Autumn dates to co-inside with his new album release.

James, the son of legendary US jazz singer Mel Tormé, spends most of his time in Los Angeles, but was brought up in England and still considers it a home from home. He’s been a broadcaster on Jazz FM for nearly four years, hosting Sunday Afternoon and a special ‘Jazz Singers’ programme each Tuesday night.

His recent ‘Celebrates The Greats’ tour was a tribute to some of the greatest vocalists of the genre, and with his new projects, James continues that theme, while adding in new material and arrangements with some special collaborations.

His ‘Back in Town’ tour includes some high profile venues and festivals including two London dates…

Sep 2nd - Norwich Jazz Weekender Festival (**W/Big Band**) http://bit.do/b8ZZm

Sep 10th - Islay Jazz Festival, Scotland http://bit.do/b8ZZu

Sep 18th - 606 Jazz Club, Chelsea, London http://606club.co.uk

Sep 30th - Pizza Express Maidstone Music Room http://bit.do/b8ZZP

Oct 8th - Pizza Express Jazz Club Dean St, Soho, London http://bit.do/b8ZZP

James tells us he’s been working on new album material, and can’t wait to unveil it to a live audience for the first time. Stay tuned to his shows on Jazz FM – it will be the first place to hear details of release dates and exclusive new tracks.
