Inaugural Florida Jazz and Blues Festival set for Sept 2016

The very first Florida Jazz & Blues Festival arrives from 23rd to 25th September, including homage to Florida greats Cannonball and Nat Adderley.

Another jazz festival will make its way onto the calendar in September 2016 with the very first Florida Jazz & Blues Festival.

Running from September 23rd to 25th in Tallahassee this new three day festival will feature over 20 acts including The Count Basie Orchestra, Florida-born pianist Marcus Roberts, vocalist Freddy Cole with his trio, the Cleveland Eaton Trio, Mac Arnold and star of the current Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival Mr. Sipp “The Mississippi Blues Child.”

Born in Florida, jazz greats Cannonball and brother Nat Adderley both lived in Tallahassee and the festival will pay tribute to them both.
