South African jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela is celebrating the 20th anniversary of democracy and the end of apartheid in his country with an extensive tour of America.

South African jazz trumpeter Hugh Masekela is celebrating the 20th anniversary of apartheid ending democracy in his country with an extensive tour of America. He’s team up with singer, songwriter, guitarist and poet-activist Vusi Mahlasela, known as “The Voice” in South Africa. 

Their “20 Years of Freedom” tour begins in New York February 18th and take in 18 concerts right across the States. The show will see the two collaborating on music from their respective catalogs.
