Herbie Hancock receives GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award

This year's Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include the Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz, Earth, Wind & Fire and Herbie Hancock.

The Recording Academy has announced this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipients including latin vocalist, the Queen of Salsa, the late Celia Cruz, the band Earth, Wind & Fire and Herbie Hancock.

Honourees will be celebrated with a special event and concert to be held in the spring. 

GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Awards are given to performers who have made contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording and are determined by votes from The Recording Academy's National Board of Trustees.

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be on February 15th in Hollywood.
