Harry Connick Jr. is coming back to the UK
The Grammy and Emmy winning singer will perform his New Orleans Tri-Centennial Show in London
Grammy and Emmy Award winner Harry Connick Jr. has announced a one-off UK show at the iconic London Palladium Theatre near Oxford Circus. It’s the first time he’s performed here in over a decade – last touring in November 2007. In recent years, the singer has been more focussed on his TV work, with a daily day-time show ‘Harry’ airing on NBC (due to come to an end this September).
Connick will be performing his ‘A New Orleans Tricentennial Celebration’ on 10 October 2018, with tickets going on sale this Friday 20 July. He’s celebrating 300 years since the birth of the Crescent City, featuring iconic songs like ‘When the Saints Go Marching In’, the Allen Toussaint song ‘Yes We Can Can’, Louis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’ and the traditional ‘Bourbon Street Parade’.
"It's supposed to be a New Orleans celebration," Connick says. "And that means we'll be playing all kinds of music from New Orleans: Traditional jazz and funk and all kinds of stuff. So we're excited to do that."
