Gregory Porter launches ‘All Rise Awards’ to recognise selflessness
The superstar singer wants to say thank you to those who have stepped up during the pandemic

Riding high in the UK album charts with his sixth studio LP ‘All Rise’ this week, Gregory Porter has launched a new initiative to say thank you to those who have stepped up during the pandemic, giving fans a chance to win tickets for his 2021 world tour.
He’s accepting nominations on social media using hashtag #AllRiseAwards. He says he wants to hear from local heroes who have risen up in their communities, helping others and standing up for those who need it most. Winners chosen for their good deeds and inspirational stories will receive a ticket for themselves and their nominee to attend one of Gregory’s shows in 2021, where they will be honoured during the live show.
He says “All Rise: we hear that phrase when presidents or judges come into the room, but I’m thinking all of us rise — not just one person being exalted. We are all exalted and lifted up by love… It’s a small way that I can show my appreciation for all of the wonderful things so many of my fans have been doing through these troubled times.”
The closing date for entries is September 30th with details on the website allrise.gregoryporter.com
