With just eleven days to go before Jazz FM’s third Love Supreme Festival, some final details have just been unveiled.

The intimate ‘Jazz Lounge’ area is showcasing the work of some iconic record labels – Impulse!, Verve and Blue Note. There’ll be personal music discussion from jazz heavyweights such as Terence Blanchard, Ambrose Akinmusire and recent Jazz FM Award winner Jason Moran, who’s giving a talk about the life and work of Fats Waller.

Meanwhile Gogo Penguin have just finished recording their first album on Blue Note records this week, and they’ll be giving the Love Supreme Jazz Lounge an exclusive first listen, plus an interview with our own Chris Philips. This will be combined with movie screenings, album playbacks and round-table sessions to form an in depth, and enjoyable rummage into the history of jazz recordings.

If that wasn’t enough, there will be wifi on offer at the Jazz Lounge too.
