Jazz FM Award winning composer and bassist Esperanza Spalding has announced a new project called ‘12 Little Spells’. She says the music within this new creation will explore the body, human energy and healing, presented with imagery and short films on her website. She says she’ll post a new piece every day from 7-18 October, when a full EP will released. There are already some teasers on social media, saying “you can never be too magical”.

She will also play 12 concert dates to accompany the series – no details have been revealed yet.

The announcement comes exactly a year after her extraordinary album ‘Exposure’ was created over 77 hours with all the musicians, engineers and producers all living in a ‘Big Brother’-style house with cameras streaming live to the internet.
