British group Empirical are planning to develop new music for their next album in a unique way during a six night residency at the famous London book shop Foyles.

Foyles recently moved to new premises in Charing Cross which contains a performance area with space for an audience of 200. It also houses the legendary record store Ray’s Jazz who will collaborate on this new project.

From January 26th to 31st 2015 Mobo award winning Empirical will explore the theme of ‘Connection’ in this architecturally beautiful space with customers and audience and the music will figure on their 5th album which they record the week after. Each performance will be from 6:30, free to attend and the audience encouraged to give feedback and engage in discussion on the music in the Foyles café.

The group features Jazz FM award winning saxophonist Nathaniel Facey, vibes player Lewis Wright, bassist Tom Farmer and drummer Shaney Forbes.
