On Jazz FM Breakfast this morning, Nigel Williams revealed the first huge name for Love Supreme Jazz Festival 2018 – Earth, Wind & Fire. The funk, soul and jazz legends are confirmed to headline on Sunday 1 July. Original members Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson will be bringing a ten piece band to Glynde Place in East Sussex to close out the three-day event.

One of the most acclaimed and celebrated bands of all time, Earth, Wind & Fire have 100 million record sales to their name, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Speaking to Jazz FM in 2013, they told us “The British musical ears are very sophisticated, so we love the fact they love what we’re doing, and have loved it and been very supportive over the years – it’s a very good feeling! We have been together for over 40 years, and it’s a real joy to have that kind of experience with people we’ve been with for a long long time.”

Love Supreme Director Ciro Romano said: "We've been coveting Earth, Wind & Fire since the festival's inception. They're a phenomenal live act with an incredible back catalogue of songs and we know they'll be a massive hit with the audience. They are the biggest act we've booked for the festival to date and will provide a fitting finale to this year's event."

More names will be announced for Love Supreme in the coming weeks. Individual day, weekend, camping and glamping tickets are all available at www.lovesupremefestival.com
