Saxophonist Julian Siegel is putting together a new all-star 19-piece jazz orchestra with a UK tour produced by Derby Jazz with support from Arts Council England. They’re creating a new set of music which harks back to an industrial past - 'Tales from the Jacquard’ draws inspiration from the lacemaking process and the Jacquard cards, which controlled the lace knitting machines – Julian's parents and family ran a lace manufacturing business in Nottingham's lace market for 50 years.

Musicians in the orchestra include Stan Sulzmann, Tom Walsh, Liam Noble, Jason Yarde and conductor Nick Smart.

The tour consists of dates at:

Leicester’s De Montfort University      14th March 2017
Nottingham’s Lakeside Arts Centre     15th March 2017
London’s Ronnie Scott’s                           16th March 2017
