David Sanborn and Marcus Miller collaborate again
Saxophonist David Sanborn and bass player Marcus Miller have reunited for the first time in over 15 years for a new Sanborn album, ’Time and the River’.
Saxophonist David Sanborn has been back in the studio with producer and bass player Marcus Miller for the first time in over 15 years for a new album, ’Time and the River’ released April 6th.
The new record is a groove oriented album with ballads and features a guest appearance from singer Randy Crawford on a classic take of ‘The Windmills of Your Mind’. Larry Braggs, vocalist with funk band Tower Of Power also features.
The previous collaboration between the two won a total of 5 Grammys and 7 Gold discs. Sanborn has released over 25 albums and plays two UK dates in April at Sage Gateshead on April 10th and London’s Barbican on April 11th with guitarist John Scofield and British blues man Jon Cleary.
