Drummer David Lyttle embarks on his UK tour from Saturday Sept 24th.

Born in Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland, MOBO Award and Urban Music Award-nominated David Lyttle shifts seamlessly between the personas of jazz drummer, recording artist, composer/songwriter, producer and record label owner. His latest album 'Faces' has commanded international attention since its release last year, with Rolling Stone magazine describing him as, “one of the best, robust listening experiences you're likely to have all year.”

Jazz FM has been among his biggest champions in the UK. He has performed in over fifteen countries and collaborated with a range of music icons, including Joe Lovano, Greg Osby, Soweto Kinch, Jean Toussaint and American rapper Talib Kweli. He was nominated for a MOBO Award for Best Jazz Act last year, up against Courtney Pine, Polar Bear, Binker and Moses and Julia Biel, but lost out to Binker and Moses.

David has been touring throughout the year with his acoustic jazz trio featuring rising star British alto saxophonist Tom Harrison. Known for his collaborations with Cleveland Watkiss, who features on his upcoming album 'Unfolding In Tempo', his recent UK tour was heavily praised by Time Out and Jazzwise magazine. On bass is Conor Chaplin, widely regarded as one of the finest of his generation. Based in London, Connor has worked with trumpeter Laura Jurd and World Service Project.
