Co-founder of the Toronto Jazz Festival Jim Galloway dies

Scottish born saxophonist Jim Galloway, co-founder of the annual Toronto Jazz Festival, has died at 78. 

After his music education in Glasgow Galloway moved to Canada in 1964 and played in many bands. He was famous for his ability to convey his love of the music with humour and fun and his strong Scottish accent, which he never lost. Galloway was part of the team that built the Toronto Jazz Festival and remained as the Artistic Director until 2009, when he retired.
