Choral collaboration for JTQ

One of the originators of so-called ‘Acid Jazz,’ British Hammond organist James Taylor, took time out of his Ronnie Scott’s residency to talk with Jazz FM’s Nigel Williams about his new album 'A Rochester Mass’ due for release on Nov 27. It’s an ambitious project with his JTQ band at the core of an album where funk, jazz and religious choral music collide. 

Taylor recorded the whole album in a day together with the 40 strong choir of Rochester Cathedral. He hopes to return to Ronnie Scott’s, where he played a sold-out residency last week, with the entire choir for future dates.
