British jazz star Jamie Cullum has signed with the iconic Blue Note Record label in the U.S. The label will release the new album 'Interlude' during the winter and Cullum is set to perform two shows at the Blue Note Jazz Club in New York on Sept 29th. Like his Ronnie Scotts show just recently he will play the album in full but this time will include guest players from the New York jazz scene. He'll also be opening for Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden.

Interlude features fellow Blue Note label mate, and Grammy award winning singer, Gregory Porter on a cover of 'Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood', currently playing on Jazz FM. Blue Note Records was formed in 1939 and this year celebrates its 75th year under the stewardship of Don Was (Was Not Was).
