Avishai Cohen brings New York's finest to London's Barbican

Internationally acclaimed bassist Avishai Cohen brings his sextet New York Division to London’s Barbican on Thursday July 16th for one night only.

The trio from his latest recording ‘From Darkness’ will feature Nitai Hershkovits on piano and drummer Daniel Dor. The sextet also includes long time musical friends from New York’s vibrant jazz scene including guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel, the three-time Grammy nominated trumpeter Diego Urcola and trombonist Steve Davis.

Cohen’s brand of energetic, driving rhythmic and melodic grooves and sensitive ballads is renowned.
