26-year-old British pianist Ashley Henry has confirmed the lineup for his debut studio album on Sony Records, due out in September with the title ‘Beautiful Vinyl Hunter’. It follows the success of his last year’s breakthrough ‘Easter’ EP. This project is a “who’s who” of home-grown and international talent across 15 tracks including collaborations with drummers Makaya McCraven and Moses Boyd, trumpeters Keyon Harrold and Theo Croker and singer Judi Jackson, he says “My music is a straight up reflection of who I am; London in all its mixed up glory. The immigrant in me has musical roots that are traced back to the 1600s, so it’s important my music today reflects that jazz alpha narrative across different genres and generations”.

The first single has been released, titled ‘The Mighty’ featuring Ben Marc, with the rest of the album available to pre-order now. Ashley has also confirmed he’s on a UK tour supporting spoken-word artist Loyle Carner in May.
