All Rhodes lead to London's Cockpit Theatre May 25th

American pianist Marc Cary makes a welcome return for a one-off headline date at London’s Cockpit Theatre on Monday May 25th with his Focus Trio. 

Cary will showcase music from his latest release ’Rhodes Ahead Volume 2’ on Motema Music. The project puts the iconic Fender Rhodes sound front and centre, fusing drum n’ bass, dance music and acoustic jazz, funk and rock influences. Downbeat Magazine critics’ poll 2014 named Marc Cary #1 Rising Keyboardist.

The show is part of Jez Nelson’s monthly ’Jazz In The Round’ presentation along with a solo performance from harp player Tori Handsley and The Rob Luft Band to open. The night offers a unique perspective and atmosphere set in the round with the audience on all four sides of the performers.
