“Cambridge has a vibrant cultural scene and a thriving jazz community, as well as excellent venues”, explains festival co-organiser Roslin Russell. “So we were really keen to start up a festival, and after putting on some smaller scale jazz weekends over the last year were ready to launch the festival.”
“There are many high quality jazz musicians who started out in Cambridge and will be coming to perform,” says co-organiser Gavin Spence. “The festival will cover a wide range of genres across jazz - from vocal to instrumental, big bands to small groups, jazz standards to contemporary original composition. It also will reach audiences across the city and in University venues.”
