2015 International Jazz Day Global concert to be streamed on jazzfm.com
A cast of internationally renowned jazz artists including Herbie Hancock will play live in Paris. We are delighted to announce we will be hosting on our website, 6pm on April 30th.
April 30th is International Jazz Day, supported by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). This year’s host city is Paris and on the day the 2015 All-Star Global Concert will once again be streamed online and feature a cast of internationally renowned jazz artists including Jazz Day UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock.
We are excited to announce that you will be able to watch this concert streamed live here on Jazz FM’s website at 6pm.
Musicians include pianists John Beasley (Music Director), A Bu, Eliane Elias, Antonio Faraò, Isfar Sarabski and Herbie Hancock; trumpeters Till Brönner, Avishai Cohen, Hugh Masekela and Claudio Roditi; vocalists Dee Dee Bridgewater, Al Jarreau, Annie Lennox, Rudy Pérez and Dianne Reeves; saxophonists Igor Butman, Femi Kuti, Guillaume Perret and Wayne Shorter; bassists James Genus, Marcus Miller and Ben Williams; guitarist Lee Ritenour; drummer Terri Lyne Carrington, percussionist Mino Cinelu, harmonica player Grégoire Maret, and oud player Dhafer Youssef.
International Jazz Day promotes education, social cohesion, tolerance and artistic advancement through jazz as a positive force. In London there will be a major concert by Human Revolution Orchestra featuring renowned U.S trombonist Robin Eubanks and an array of the UK’s top players at the Union Chapel in Islington.
