The NN North Sea Jazz Festival, the world’s largest indoor music festival, has announced a second wave of artists, as it prepares for this summer’s event at the Ahoy Centre in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

In 2023, the world’s largest indoor music festival is set to present its biggest line-up to date of international stars across jazz, blues, soul, pop and beyond in July

Joining the list of artists confirmed to perform this year are American bassist Esperanza Spalding, who is this year’s Artist In Residence, three-time Brit-award-winning soul singer Seal, trailblazing US rapper Janelle Monáe, internationally acclaimed group Snarky Puppy and US hip hop sensation Ducklwrth.

The festival had already confirmed an array of some of the world’s most celebrated jazz artists including South African pianist Abdullah Ibrahim, revered trumpeter and educator Wynton Marsalis with his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, pioneering guitarist Pat Metheny with Side-Eye, Norwegian saxophonist Jan Garbarek, Maria Schneider & The Oslo Jazz Ensemble, Bill Frisell, Hermeto Pascoal, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Yussef Dayes, Ezra Collective, and many more.

Over 60 artists have been announced today, including superstar UK rapper and singer Stormzy, Mercury Prize-winning rapper Little Simz, UK hip hop sensation Loyle Carner, multi-GRAMMY-winning singer Lizzo, music royalty Tom Jones, the class-leading singer and songwriter Van Morrison, the legendary blues singer and guitarist Buddy Guy, captivating soul trio Gabriels, R&B and neo soul powerhouse Jill Scott and gospel phenomenon Mavis Staples amongst many others.

More acts will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

This summer the festival expects more than a thousand musicians, spread out over 150 performances and fifteen different stages.

Welcoming more than 75,000 music fans each year, the North Sea Jazz Festival has built an incomparable reputation since its inaugural year in 1976 hosting a string of musical icons over the years from Miles Davis and Count Basie to Amy Winehouse and Adele.

Three-day weekend tickets are already sold out, single day tickets go on sale from 1st February at 10am (GMT) and are available here.
