Rhino Records to celebrate iconic Black artists during US Black Music Month
Previously unreleased music from Charles Mingus and Miles Davis plus reissue of Milt Jackson and Ray Charles collaboration
Rhino Records will celebrate US Black Music Month with a series of new releases throughout June and July this year including reissues of classics by Charles Mingus, Curtis Mayfield, Milt Jackson, Ray Charles, Zapp & Roger, The Drifters, The Time, and previously unreleased music from Miles Davis and Roberta Flack.
Originally recorded on January 19th 1974, Mingus At Carnegie Hall was originally released as an LP with only featured 2 tracks from the concert. Now, fans will get to hear over 72 minutes of previously unreleased material played in the order it was originally recorded. The much-anticipated vinyl collection also includes photos taken by original photographer Gal Costa plus new liner notes by jazz historian and producer, Michael Cuscuna.

Merci Miles! Live at Vienne recalls the Miles Davis Group set captured at the Jazz à Vienne festival in France on July 1st 1991, one of Miles Davis last concerts before his death a couple of months later. The album is also set to include two songs written by the Prince.
