Kensington Palace have confirmed that The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be embarking on their first Royal Tour in Autumn this year, officially visiting a number of countries for the first time. The tour will also be timed to coincide with the 2018 Invictus Games, which will take place in Sydney between the 20th - 27th October.

In the announcement on Twitter, Kensington Palace revealed the couple would be visiting, Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand in the Autumn.

This tour will see The Duke and Duchess of Sussex follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry's older brother The Duke of Cambridge and also his parents. In April 2014 The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge spent 18 days travelling around Australia and New Zealand. Prince Harry's parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana also visited those two countries for 41 days back in 1983.

This is the first official tour for the couple since they got married a few weeks ago in Windsor Castle. Their wedding was a star-studded event with both British and showbiz royalty attending the ceremony. The likes of Elton John, David and Victoria Beckham, George and Amal Clooney, musician James Blunt, actor Idris Elba, and American TV host Oprah Winfrey were all spotted at the event.
