Police launch appeal following serious motorcycle collision in Upton

The driver of the motorcycle suffered "potentially life-threatening" injuries

West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Upton that left a motorcycle driver injured.

Officers first received reports of an incident taking place on the junction of Field Lane and Pennine View in Upton just before 11:50 a.m. on Friday (June 21st).

When responders arrived on the scene, they found a blue Mitsubishi L200 that had crashed into a black and orange KTM off-road motorcycle.

The driver of motorcycle was deemed to have serious injuries following the collision and was taken to hospital for emergency treatment.

Since then, the motorcyclist's condition has been described as serious, with him suffering "potentially life-threatening injuries".

Police are now appealing for anyone with information or those who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.

Specifically, anyone who may have seen the vehicles before the collision are being urged to make themselves known as soon as possible. Those with CCTV or dashcam footage are being particularly welcomed.
