Two charged after fight in Wakefield involving around 30 people

Two men have been charged after a large fight involving weapons in Wakefield on Friday.
Police were called to Kirkgate on Friday (March 14) to reports of a group of around 30 people involved in a confrontation.
A man was found with serious injuries and was later taken to hospital, with police stepping up stop and search powers in the city in the hours after the incident.
Mirko Bakir, aged 32, from Wakefield, and Harda Azeez, aged 31, from Royston, Barnsley, have both been charged with wounding with intent, with Azeez also accused of possession of an offensive weapon.
Two other men, aged 21 and 23, have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
