Three men charged after weapons fight outside Hemsworth primary school

Police previously confirmed no pupils or parents were harmed in the incident

Three men have been charged following reports of a fight involving weapons outside a primary school in Hemsworth.

Todd Burgin, 27, of Grove Mount, South Kirkby, Alex Boughen, 33, of Ings Close, South Kirkby, and Tye Jackson, 19, of Craven Road, Hemsworth, are facing charges of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

The incident is reported to have taken place outside a school on Highfield Road in Hemsworth at around 2.50pm on Wednesday (November 19).

West Yorkshire Police have stated that no pupils or parents were involved or harmed during the fight.

The three men have been remanded to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court today.

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody as investigations continue.
