Police investigating the disappearance of Leeds man Rhyce Whaite have sadly found a body.

Whaite, who was 32, went missing from his family home just after midnight last Saturday morning (February 24), with West Yorkshire Police appealing for information to find him.

However, during their initial searches, investigating officers had discovered the body whilst carrying out enquiries of the Cottingley Hall area of the city this Saturday (March 2nd).

Before he was found, he was described as a white male, with facial hair and was wearing a grey two-tone coat, Berghaus beanie hat, blue Levi’s jeans and brown boots when he left the property.

Police confirmed that Rhyce's family have been informed and they are currently receiving support from specially-trained officers.

Whilst investigations are still ongoing as to why Whaite decided to go missing, West Yorkshire Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
