Police investigation after 'swastika' scratched onto cars in Ilkley
It's being treated as a racially-aggravated criminal damage
Police in Ilkley have begun an investigation after 'swastikas' were scratched onto a number of cars.
It's happened multiple times, with reports on March 22, April 12 and April 15, on Riddings Road, Hawksworth Street and Cow Pasture Road.
Officers are treating it as racially-aggravated criminal damage, and have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
Inspector John Barker from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are appealing for the identity of the male in this picture and anyone with information is asked to contact us.
“Offences like this have a huge impact on the local community, my officers will be out providing reassurance to residents.”
