Man in court after being charged with assaulting police in Leeds
Officers were called to Cliff Crescent in Kippax over the weekend
A man has been arrested and charged with attacking police officers in Leeds over the weekend.
It happened as police were seeking to make an arrested in the Kippax area on Sunday.
36 year old Jason Mortimer, of Cliff Crescent, has been charged with wounding with intent to resist arrest and attempted wounding with intent to resist arrest.
He is also accused of two counts of resisting a constable in the execution of their duty and of breaching a restraining order on November 23.
He appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court earlier today and has been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Leeds Crown Court on December 24
